The Wall Tab is used to specify the reinforcements and design pier if Wall Pier type is selected for the substructure at beginning.

You can either manually input the reinforcement or, click Design button and follow the instruction to have the program automatically perform the preliminary design.

In the event the former approach is chosen, enter values in the text boxes at the bottom of the screen (below diagram) and click Add.

You can modify existing reinforcement in the list by highlighting it, making appropriate changes, and click Modify.

To delete an existing reinforcement, highlight it and click Delete.

Click the Design Status button to show the design results after the steel reinforcement is manually input.

In the event the latter approach is chosen, click Design button to open the Design Pier Wall screen.

Select the bar sizes for main and lateral reinforcement from the lists and click OK.

Substructure automatically performs a preliminary design, and displays the design status before returning to the Wall Tab screen.

The calculated reinforcement will appear in the list at the bottom of the screen. You can adjust those calculated reinforcement based on the design report to achieve an optimized final design.
